Green smoothies are all over the world wide web and I have always been a fan. The reason I enjoy making green (and sometimes dirt-colored) smoothies is because it is a pain-free way of adding some veggies (spinach, in my case) to your day without ruining the taste! Plus, St. Patrick’s Day is coming so it just makes sense, right?
You can really use whatever you have on hand and throw it in the blender. If you don’t have yogurt, use milk or juice. If you don’t have spinach, use kale. It may not look pretty, but you’ll feel good drinking it 🙂
1 orange, peeled, separated
5 large strawberries, fresh
2 heaping handfuls of spinach
1 6oz container of Greek yogurt, plain or vanilla
1 handful of ice
Put all of your ingredients in a blender and mix together until smooth. If you have a cheaper blender like me, you may find that it’s easier to chop up the spinach. If not, your powerful blender will puree everything in no time!
